‘The Image Myth concerns all of us!’ – Global Training Pax Lodge – Day 1

There are 48 participants from 25 countries here at Pax Lodge this weekend, brought together from around the world to learn about Free Being Me! Here’s the day one blog from the 6ers patrol:

This first day of training was very exciting! We started the day at the flag with a short, but meaningful ceremony. We got sorted into patrols and then the training begun.

We got information about the Free Being Me and the WAGGGS and Dove team working on the project.

The most important information of the day was the truth about the Image Myth and its effects in society. From there we started working with the Free Being Me activity pack.

We asked two of the participants what they think about today’s session. We got this inspiring responses:

“I think Free Being Me programme is very interesting and amazing. I really want to work with it in my M.O. because Image Myth concerns all of us.” -Grace, Poland.

“Being in Pax Lodge is very exciting, to meet people from all over the world is amazing” -Pero, Lebanon

After a few hours of training on hard topics we eased the tension with a walk and some quizzes in a beautiful park nearby. The day was concluded with a delicious dinner with great company.
