A hot summer evening, about 20 girls dressing Yukata participated FBM session. Brownies (G1-3) and Junior scouts (G4-6) sat down togather in a circle. They were all nervous at first time, but gradually they showed smile and joined this session positively. The day, a pre-join G1 girl was with us, and She was interested in this program and I asked “what kind of person do you respect?” and she wrote down “A person who has a gentle heart.” with a good hand writing. I was impressed that she expressed her thought by herself without adult’s help. Junior scouts discussed deeply about FBM, and Brownies were inspired more naturally.
This program can be a big challenge for Japanese girls who are not used to show their indivisual charactors to others. But we all felt this is a good way to know each other. and we want to tell our friends about FBM when schools start.
