Free Being Me (FBM) is an empowering educational programme designed to foster body confidence of young people. It emphasizes the importance of body confidence as a key foundation for young people to participate meaningfully in society and rise as leaders. By engaging in dynamic, relevant, and learner-led activities, participants develop a positive body image and improve self-esteem, learn to value their bodies and challenge harmful beauty standards. It is designed for both boys and girls and available in Arabic, English, French and Spanish languages.
The Action on Body Confidence (ABC) is the advocacy component of Free Being Me. It is a tool for leaders and young people, especially girls to deliver advocacy activities in various levels – local, national and even international. This activity pack aims to equip young people with knowledge and skills on doing advocacy to help them navigate their advocacy adventure. They will identify the biggest body confidence issues in their community and plan a project that engages and influences decision-makers for change.
The ABC curriculum consists of the following:
The activity packs are available in Arabic, English, French and Spanish and are designed for both boys and girls. We suggest that young people go through FBM first before doing ABC.
