I always felt uncomfortable in my own body. I avoided photos, wore oversized clothes, never spoke up in class and fearing judgement.
One day, my school announced a campaign on “Action on body confidence.” Inspired, I hesitantly joined a workshop where students shared their insecurities. To my surprise, even the most confident looking people had their own struggles.
In that program, when it was my turn, I hesitated. Then I took a deep breath and whispered, “I love how kind I am”.
For the first time I realised confidence was not about perfection. It was about self-acceptance.
